Week 1
This week I have read the book by Diane Fox Downs called,
“Charlie”. This book tells the tale of a stray cat who decides that the alley
way is no place for him, he sets of to the country side dreaming of eating
vanilla ice cream and playing ‘tiger in the grass’ all day. After a few
misadventures he comes across a court yard where there is a pond, fresh tall
grass and a cool breeze. The children that live there decide they want to adopt
him if he prove himself. It is a tale of rags to riches and I believe is a
fantastic story for junior years.
