Introduction

Hello group members!

My names Christie Hillyer and I am in my second year of studying Education at the University of South Australia. I believe this course has contributed to my passion about teaching and becoming a future educator. I am specialising in English and physical education and have a strong passion for teaching students about the importance of being fit and healthy. I have been playing soccer for many years and have represented South Australia on many occasions. I believe being a positve healthy role model for students is important for students health and well being.

This week I have read a children's book by Catherine Jinks called 'You'll wake the baby!' This book was a short listed book from the children's book council of Australia. The language within this book it well written for children to understand and the illustrations are well drawn. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book.

Thanks

Introduction...

Hello fellow group members,

My name is Kelly Rowe and I am 19 years old. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Middle) at the University of South Australia. I am in my second year of study and am enthusiastic about the career pathway that I have chosen. It is my strong intention to teach secondary students and specialise in the areas of physical education and history/geography. I believe that teaching is a profession that is both demanding and rewarding.

Study aside, I am very passionate about playing and watching sport - in particular touch football and netball. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and love the summer and the beach.

Cheers

Introduction

My name is Noni Ridgway and I am 19 years of age. I am currently in my second year studying primary and middle teaching. So far I have enjoyed all aspects of this course, ecpecially the physical education subjects. Participating in this teaching uni course has reinforced my decision of wanting to educate students.

I enjoy working with children and am currently a swimming instructor at the SA Aqautic and leasure centre. I find this job very pleasurable and highly rewarding. As a teacher I seek to have an impact on younger generations and pass on my own personal knowledge.

My major interest in my life is sport. I have played netball, tennis and swimming for my home town Bordertown, which is situated in the country. I have also competed in a number of South Australia Swimming Country Championships.
I would like to channel this passion I have in sport and inspire the students to keep active and enjoy physical education.

Thanks
